Off into the hills, along the valleys, along the ridges, using the lifts for uphill transport
Try the Col de Saix, Barbossine or the Alpage de Mouet from behind the apartments, the Lac d'Arvouin, Alpage d'Ubine, Alpage de Bise, the ridge walk from Col de Bassachaux by Lac Vert, Portes d'Hiver and the Col des Portes du Soleil, Alpage de Tovassiere and down to Morgins or in the opposite direction starting from the top of the Foilleuse chairlift in Morgins, the Point de Bellevue from the top of the Super Chatel chairlift. Go visit the chamois and the mouflons in the Mont de Grange Nature Reserve above Tres les Pierres or above the Chalet de Treblentaz. The list is endless!
Hire a bike from James. Try it out on the level - trial ground near the Lac de Vonnes then take it up the hill on a chairlift. All down hill from there on.
Book a lesson or pony trek with Monica at the stables in Morgins.** Trek through hills, valleys and streams.
Throw yourself in a raging torrent equipped with a helmet, sturdy wetsuit, flippers and a float. Try rafting, canoeing, canyoning and even diving in Lake Geneva. **
The Aquapark at Bouveret in Switzerland is a must! Swimming pools in Chatel and Morgins. Lunchtime is quiestest.
Thermal baths at Val D'Illiez and Saillon in Switzerland.
St. Gingolph is highly recommended. Also at Le Biot and Champoussin.

With an instructor to try Paragliding or fly on a high wire at Pres La Joux.**

Climb a Mountain
Every child should have one. Point de Bellevue or Chesery to start with. Mont de Grange opposite the apartments, Cornettes de Bise or La Dent d'Oche. Ask the more sedentary members of your party to drop you at 5 am at Salvan d'en Haut and collect you at 7pm in Champery to climb Les Dents du Midi. You've seen them in winter - now's your chance!
Admire sunset and dawn.
Stay a night at the Alpage de Treblentaz or take an evening barbecue to the Alpage

Provides spectacular storms, makes the grass grow and the flowers flourish but what to do?
The Chateau de Chillon is generally considered a "cool castle" near Montreux on Lake Geneva. Factory retail therapy outlets at Villeneuve. Shopping at Manor in Monthey - excellent salads for lunch in the restaurant. The Olympic Museum and Natural History Museum in Lausanne. The frescos in the Abbey of Abondance. The Mechanical Music Museum at Les Gets. The Motor Musem, Art Gallery and Roman remains at Martigny are excellent. Visit the Salt Mines at Bex near Monthey. Visit Geneva.
Note: If rainy in the hills it may well be fine over the lake. Take a paddle steamer on the lake, visit the village of Ivoire and the towns of Evian and Thonon les Bains - market day Thursday.
Summer skiing on a glacier if you must! **
Chamonix to see MontBlanc, Zermatt to see the Matterhorn, Interlaken for the Eiger, Monk and Jungfrau, St.Bernard Pass to see the dogs, Bern to see the bears, Lucern to see the lake, the Italian Lakes, Venice to see the gondoliers (with overnight stay). Annecy is unforgettable - take a boat trip on the lake.
