A small, friendly company based in Morgins, a typical traditional alpine village, in Switzerland and in Chatel in France, we offer skiing and snowboarding holidays in winter and active mountain breaks in summer when the chalet is an excellent base for mountain biking, walking and touring holidays with trips to the Chateau de Chillon, the Abondance Valley, Martigny, the Spa at Lavey and, further afield, to Chamonix, Zermatt and even Stresa and the Borromean Islands on Lake Maggiore in Italy.
Our personal service and our local contacts enable us to find the accommodation to suit you. Our own large, comfortable catered Swiss chalet in Morgins and self catering apartments in Châtel enable us to fulfil individual requirements allowing maximum freedom and comfort at the most reasonable price. Please ask us about the special rates for groups, weekends and longer holidays.
We are there to discuss your initial reservation, to solve any problems and to help you make the most of the vast ski area of the Portes du Soleil. On arrival we arrange lift passes, ski and board hire, ski school and restaurant bookings, answer questions about the resort and help you settle in. For those in apartments there is a “welcome pack” of bread, wine, cheese and milk.
We offer advice on flights and your choice of route from Calais. We arrange transfers from Geneva or pick you up from Aigle after a scenic journey from Geneva Airport on Swiss Railways. For those of you who would like to break your journey I can recommend an overnight stop at an excellent chambre d’hôte at Athée near Auxonne to the south east of Dijon.
Châtel and Morgins are an ideal winter break for non-skiers with many miles of cross-country trails and well-marked footpaths to explore, calling in at hostelries for a drink or to sample the local cuisine. The Foilleuse lift in Morgins, the lift from the Pré La Joux car park to Plaine Dranse and the telecabine to Super Châtel enable non-skiers to meet their skiing friends for lunch and to enjoy the views and sunshine of this beautiful area. Outings on snowshoes are popular. Or you could just sit and relax in the winter sunshine.
